One other thing...
This is the cause that I am committed to now - helping those folks that need to make the transition. Whether it is by choice or by coersion, there are a signigicant amount of VFP developers that are faced with this issue. Their panic can be understandable. "VB does not work like Fox, how will I make the transition?" Of course, the lack of inheritance for many is cause for fear.
I for one don't advocate folks en masse dump VFP. But for many, they have no choice. Whether they are an independent in which their available work has dried up or they are a full-timer who wants to make the jump, but cannot find full-time work, I want to help those people. These are the folks that need help and guidance. If you are going to be in Miami, drop by the Takenote booth. We have some interesting things to show folks out there that need to make this transition.
Again, for folks that don't want to leave Fox, this message is not intended for you. So please, don't heap grief on me. But for those that are curious as to a good, sound, and logical path, let's talk...
