In employee table there is a status field, one byte long. In data entry form there is an OptionGroup that shows full description of each status.

In FPD I defined the list of options in the radio button and had a memory variable to hold option selected. A different variable held the value that had come from the table and that later would be REPLACEd there. Conversions were carried out in a procedure that is run each time the record changes and in the valid of the radio button.

What is the best way to handle this in VFP? It seems I kind of want to "bind" data to an element of a two column manual list while showing the other column.

BTW. I still have a method that is run each time record changes.
