Actually, the real issue was a fear of hurting the hardware side of the business. Keeping the OS closed was more of a means to and end as opposed to being an end itself...

Duh... That is my point Erik. Jobs, on a technical basis is better. Yet, his company floundered. That was my point, the better mouse-trap does not always win out.

Had the MAC OS been developed for the Intel platform, there would be no Windows. Then again, had Apple embraced a clone market, maybe Intel would not be around
