Thanks for your help. I have turned off Virus resident protection and rebooted. But unfortunately no change. It has me tricked, everything else seems to work as one would expect, including be able to zip the forms and then save the zipped file. And there are no warnings - error messages - nothing - just fails to copy the scx and sct recently modified but those same types of files created on NT4 and copied to these W2K machines will then copy to the CD. As you may have noticed, I have right up to date software including SP4 of Visual Studio, and SP1 of W2K.
Now to add to the mystery. If I zip a form that will not copy to CD and then extract it from the zipped file - you guessed it, now it will copy to the CD.
