thank you for yor reply.

when I have a.cid = b.cstudent, it gives me bunch of records.

I tryied the == comparison, but no luck. I also tryied reading all the list items to a cursor and using the cursor in the select statement. I am not sure If I am doing something wrong.

I am not a exp VFP programmer, I will let you know If I figer it out.
