Which of these has a data engine built in? That is, which of them would need to add an external engine? Each of these would need to link in to an engine. Now, is that good or bad? I think it is probably a good thing actually. Still, with VFP you basically don't need the addons so there is some benefit there I'd think.

Which is better? None, depends on what you want to accomplish IMO.

When one is unwilling to look at all tools, old and new I suppose, and to dismiss them simply because they are 'older'.

I think you're making an error in your judgement in that you are presuming that I, in my support for VFP, I am automatically non-supportive of the other MS product line. Nothing could be futher from the truth. Please factor into your thought process this information, would you?
