This may be nit-picking, John, but CA 'dropped' Clipper the same way MS 'dropped' FoxPro DOS - they developed a Windows version to replace it. Not that I am in any way holding a torch for CA's Visual Objects - it's truly an abomination.
Interestingly as Job Leads Coordinator for the local SIG I still get calls for Clipper programmers for legacy apps about once per month. But I haven't had a call for a FPDos programmer in over a year.
