>Here's a quick test: Start VFP and open a table on a network connection, unplug your network cable, 'browse' the open table and an error will occur. Now, plug the cable back in, access the connection using Explorer and all's ok, except for FoxPro which can only access the table if it's closed and re-opened.

Just to add, I once experienced the server going down on me, while I had FPD2.6 app running with several tables open, and we didn't touch it until rebooting the server first, and then when we wanted to try to shut down the app and restarted, we saw that the app behaved normal, no errors at all; the data were saved and nothing was wrong.
Now, this happened only once, and the network was Lantastic 5 (or 6, I'm bad with names), and we had to replace all of these with NetBEUI because the Lantastic of those times didn't play too well with W95, so I can't even think of reproducing this.
