Apparently, you haven't made one. There is one significant difference between the TreeView and the Date/Time picker. Namely, the drop down window with the calendar. The window associated with the control is that of the calendar itself, not the text box. I attempted to use GetParent() to retrieve the window handle of the text box, and did so successfully (at least according to Spy++). Unfortunately, using that window handle didn't produce the desired effect. IOW, noting changed! The background color may be part of the class structure. If so, then SetWindowLong() might be able to change it. I haven't gotten to the point where I'm familar enough with all the values to say for certain. Bottom line is that I'm not sure that I can help any farther without significatly more research. Sorry.
