Erik,
>>What benefits does Win2K have over the others ???
>I have _never_ had Win2K crash on me. Ever. With NT4, I could count on a crash a day. With 9x, I could count on half a dozen a day.
I'm sure there is a driver in your NT4 configuration that is the culprit. I've been running NT 4 for about 3 years now, I've only had some crash problems with a HP scanjet driver. The last crash I've had is about a year ago.
>Also, stuff like network and plug and play support is just killer. And how you gonna do COM+ without Win2K? :-)
Yeah, I agree. The network plug and pray is really nice in W2K, However this only is nice when configuration your machine. And about COM+, that is nice.... when you use it. Since i'm in a business where I sell standard packages to customers on W95, W98, W2K, WMillenium, WN4 without any knowledge of DCOM and COM+ i'm not that confident to take that step. But I think you're right COM+ is an important feature.......
OTOH, If you don't need this stuff, and your machine is stable, you might be as comfortable with NT 4 as well.
