I've got a program that checks (right at startup) to see if a certian condition exists

If whatever = .f.

do form whatever
read events

endif

In the forms destroy is issue a clear events... then go on do my splash screen etc and call my main form and read events.

AFAIK... you could do the same. (if you don't need the if/endif just put the do form and read events and issue the clear events in the form destroy.
