What might help would be to temporarily put a ON ERROR statement in you app so that the error routine isn't being run. Also placing your SET STEP ON as close to the area of code you want to examine might save you some problem too. Perhaps a Refresh() is firing over and over ???

I am now wondering if it is something to do with one of the grids since I do quite a lot of resetting to the grid properties in one of the methods, resetting controlsources, linkmaster to child tables etc and perhaps it does not initialize correctly. Athough it does give the correct result on completion of the processing.
