>>Like you I headed off to a client site with everything on a CD, only to discover that the recent files were missing. However I was saved by the Zipped version of those recent files. I just checked by dropping a "FORMS" directory onto a CD and it had all of the scx,sct up to 30 June and none after that date.

Yes I have done the Validate Layout bit, to no avail.
Referring to these recent problem children, When I drag an individual file or pair [.scx .sct ] it/they fail to drop, however if I zip it first then extract it, all is OK, so I suspect something that VFP is doing. Initially I used to just drop an entire directory onto the CD, It was not until I ran Windiff on the Source and CD that I twigged as to the extent of the problem. I must say that the $35 or whatever is was rego fee that I paid to Winzip is probably my best expenditure in the last 50 years.
thanks,
regards
