Yes, I've opened the DataSession window and I can watch the relation go away as I step through the code. If I browse the table, I see all the records. It's only in my grid on my form that I do not see the records.
Although I would like to know the reason for this behavior, I finally gave up yesterday and created a writable cursor instead to display in the second form. Then I SCAN the cursor and make the necessary changes to the original table (the one I was trying to relate to the cursor so I wouldn't have to do this SCAN business!).
Ah well, it isn't pretty and it isn't elegant, but it works!
Thanks for everyone's input.
>Valerie,
>Have you opened the DataSession window (in the Window menu) to check the open files? Relations are shown there, as well as the ability to browse your data. This way you can be absolutely certain what files are available at any given time.
