You're welcome, John. You might want to check out the VFUG (www.vfug.org) newsletter. Ed Rauh and I are writing a 5 part series on the WSH. We covered this question and other in an overview in the September issue. It's available (as well as the October issue which is under construction) at the VFUG site. In October, we discuss the WScript.Shell object which is used to create the shortcuts.
