A shoot in dark. Might it be TAB is something else at that moment ? ie: Changed via #define TAB ... to prepare test.dat ?

Thank you for responding!

Error happens not only with TAB, but also with BLANK
It works good when I use:
APPEND FROM test.dat TYPE SDF

However it is not the correct format...
