Actually, collections are tremendously useful tools. In fact, they exist all over the place in VFP: Form.Controls, PageFrame.Pages, Grid.Columns, _screen.Forms, etc. Also, commercial frameworks related to Codebook (such as Visual FoxExpress and Mere Mortals) use collections extensively. I've written a couple of articles about collection classes in FoxTalk and Toni Feltman does a great session on collections at various VFP conferences.
