I only have one answer to this... DON'T. Why do you want to go through two conversions? Why not just take the data and put it into a new system and upgrade your FPDOS system? The time you will spend converting to an old DOS system could be used to create a new Visual system.
If you are going to have to write entry forms, maintenance, conversion routines, etc - why waste the time going to a 6-7 year old DOS system?
If you must, I would still use VFP to convert the data - you can create an ODBC connection to Access, and just pull the data out to a FP based table.
