Strange listcontrol behaviour

Hi everybody!

I am not a seasoned vfp programmer, so the followings can be a familiar problem for someone. But for me, it is a mystery.
The problem is:
I have a listbox control on a form. (non modal)
rowsourcetype: fields
rowsource: myalias.itemname, itemno, itemcode
columncount: 3

(in DE there is an opened freetable, containing the previous fields and other 5 more. Reccount: 6000)
If the order is set to nothing, the list works fine.
But if I set the order to any index tag, the list behaves strange.
I mean, that pushing down the left mouse button over the fastscroll square, (which also indicates the position in the list - sorry but I don't know the official name of this) the list items scrolled 50-100 items down. If I release the mouse button the list step back to
the original position. It is frustrating, because if I not only push and release the button, but scroll with it, after stopping and releasing the mouse button, the list steps forward 50-100 items, instead the place, where I wanted to stop.
What is there to do?

Does anybody know the answer?
Thanks in advance.
