>well i'm not sure if this is the place to post this message, but it never hurts to ask. i am writing a program in foxpro that calls an api on the sql server....here's my challenge...when i'm in the query analyzer of sql, i call the api and it works beautifully. my table gets updated. when i write the exact same line of code in my fox command window, after creating my object of course...i get a return value of false. hence, no table update. i am assuming that the api is working because i can call it in sql and it's successful. but i have been analyzing this problem for 2 days now and i'm at a loss. what's the difference in my api calls???? any hints?? tia.

When you refer to APIs in SQL Server, are you refering to Store Procedures? Could you post a code snippet of the SP? It may be a syntax error or a parameter error. Could you post the call from both the VFP command window and the Query Analyzer?
