>You Fox knowledge is going to come in handy. However, all of the Fox skills don't mean much when there is a severe lack of jobs. This is what many folks need to understand. It is your scenario that I wish to address and it is folks like you that I wish to help.
the opposite is happening in Toronto.
I am being 'overpaid' due to the LACK of Foxpro programmers.
However, these shops are not going to continue to 'over pay' programmers/developers. The managers cringe when I hand them a Foxpro maintenance bill; one by one I my clients are moving to Access2000 or VB6.
Also, Access is now reasonably fast when crunching data on a P3-600. The CDX index used to be the fastest thing around when running on a 486 or a P-133; those days are over. This single practical fact makes it hard for me to justify upgrading my skills in VFP.
For the kind of work I do Access2000 has become the best development tool.
