I did something similar with an Epson LQ 1170. The important thing to understand is that FoxPro does not determine paper size of printers or anything else regarding printers really. It is all handled by windows.

Try to go to the LQ 1170 in settings/printers, set it up as the default printer and specify the paper size. Then when you run the report from VFP, it should use those paper dimensions autmatically when printing.

At least that is how I solved the problem in an insurance company where they wanted debit notes printed in some funny format on LQ1170.
