I have already inplemented timeGetTime() from winmm.dll which Vin Miller suggested. It is 1 ms accurate, works with Win95 and WNT4, I have not tested W2K but I'm not going to use that OS until Intel releases a 2 GHz processor.
I have made a note of the functions you mentioned in case I need more accuracy than 1 ms.
