OK, a few other things - does outputting from WinZip change the file attributes (hidden, system, archive)? Is the SCT/SCX file being marked as a system file when first produced (by VFP, say, or possible automatically by Windows - somebody mentioned SCX/SCT being the same extension as that used by the Windows Scripting Host) and this attribute is being removed by WinZip? I think that EasyCD can be set to skip system files. Actually, now I think of it, does the creation date change when you output from Winzip? (I'm trying to think of what could be different between the files). Have you tried unzipping back to the location that you zipped from (overwriting) and does the copying still work?

>Yes with /B and without, FC reports no differences.

>Yes, I have the lates W2K version from their site and an open incident with them.
>>Have you tried copying the files to a floppy via the O/S
>Yes the operating system is happy to copy these files to anywhere I like except to the CD through the Easy CD Adaptec software. I am the Administrator so have checked the Security stuff.

>NO - I think that is Direct CD from Adaptec and is not supported on their W2K versions
>>Have you switched off any anti-virus software?
>YES
>> Have you checked your hard-disk for errors?
>Yes
>> See what Windows thinks is associated with the file extension.
>The O/S thinks that SCX and SCT are associated with VFP Forms
>>
>>Just ideas.
>Thanks for your input Robert - I have been through each of the suggestions from everyone here at UT - Adaptec have been underwhelming in their efforts.
>regards.
