I've come to really appreciate the help available here on the UT. Of the 60 or so people here that do any programming at all, only one other person that I'm aware of does anything in VFP. If I need help, my other co-workers politely ask why I haven't migrated to VB. *SIGH* I don't disagree with anybody that learning VB would be a good idea. In fact, I plan to do so (the threads regarding moving from VFP TO VB have been of interest to me). But when you are looking for a quick answer, migrating from one solution to another doesn't fix problems in just a couple of minutes! I do use Access a little bit, but tend to shy away from it. I find it similar enough to VFP that, when it won't behave in the same way, or give me the same options/capabilities, I get very frustrated with it!
