Problem resolved itself this way:

1) Merant told us to go see Allaire ( makers of Cold Fusion ) to whom they had licensed the ODBC driver for Visual Foxpro.

2) Allaire, after a couple weeks, admitted that they had a bad example in their code and fixed it.

3) I don't have to change any of the Tag definitions. Hurrah! ! !
