Unless he already owns it, it may be a problem to get it. Doug recently posted here that SFReports and SFQuery are not going to be sold as commercial products. There will be bug fixes and support for both but no new versions or sales. Check out www.stonefield.com, the products are not mentioned any more.

The user can take the view, apply a filter to it, add more criteria to the filter, save the filter for future use, etc.
