That's the story line in this guys article. He is the world's most fameous emulator (and probably the best assembler coder too) writer for Macs, and he says all prior Mac owners are now in posession of an expensive paperweight, especially if they just bought a box within the last year. I think he's really ticked because Apple has just cut his business off by their move into the Mach "unix-like" kernel. Mach is designed in ways similar to the GNU Hurd kernel, because the Hurd is designed along the lines of the 'Mach' kernel. The GNU Hurd is described on the GNU website.
