It's not very hard, is it? The really "bad" ones were those that drove a wedge in COMMAND.COM. Very dangerous. I ran across one of those bad boys a few years back. OTOH, I admired the technical expertise of the person that created it. OTO, I despised him/her for using that expertise in a destructive manner.

I've always looked at keeping a computer virus free a matter of using a little care and taking a measure of personal responsibility. The "ILOVEYOU" thing never would've reached the proportions it did if folks had simply been aware and taken responsibility for what they were doing. Admittedly, this isn't 100% of the cases, especially when viruses have been spread inadvertantly by reputable shrink wrapped software manufacturer. However, it would be effective in dealing with these problems with the WSH.
