Sure, that would work fine. But then say the user closes the MessageBox() and then goes on to doing some other things on the screen. There is the possibility that he/she will forget about the message (I know my attention span can be pretty short sometimes <g>). With the flashing message it is a constant reminder of say, a critical task. I agree that there are many other means of getting the users attention. Just miss that flashing text option after all these years LOL
