Nobody is saying don't use it. What I am saying is that if you develop an application that you want to be compliant with the Windows design standards, you don't use a blinking label, especially for the reasons proposed by Nadya. So I am arguing against it for the same reasons I would argue against a capricious, non-standard menu layout.
