Sure. It is a function that someone created and place in the files section. You add it to your procedure file (or create a procedure file if you don't have one) and then call this function to get some input from a user. It is kind of like a messagebox but let's you get input from the user. You certainly don't have to rely on that; you can create your own form to prompt the user for the value, store their answer in a variable, and then pass this variable to the remote view.
