Found it! Above my code I had:

#INCLUDE fred.h

which contained the line:

#define SPEED HalfADeadHalibut

so property:

oPort.Speed

became

oPort.HalfADeadHalibut

which is fishy to say the least.

I'm getting the brain changed next week.
