Hi All,
I'm I just lost or is it possible that Microsoft has decided that if I use Visual Studio Installer to deploy my apps, that I must choose to place my application folder within four predetermined locations?
Can I use Visual Studio Installer and still install my application's folder directly off the root folder (i.e. C:\MYTHING vs C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYTHING?) This is driving me nuts!
If I don't disable the dialog that allows the user to select the installation directory and location, it WILL go where I need it to go. However, I am building an installation for a specific group of users, all of which will need the app installed into a specific location off the root. I don't want to allow them to change the installation location, but I also don't want my application folder to be inside one of the four choices given in the Installer options. WOOHOO another fine day! lol
Any suggestions are appreciated,
