It's alive and kicking down here at DEVCON. We just received a tech preview (pre-beta) of VFP7, which will released as part of Visual Studio sometime in 2001. The VFP team is taking suggestions and beginning discussions with the VFP community about the next version after that.
Some companies have decided to move away from VFP, but many others are staying with it or starting new development in it, once they see what it can do.
