IMHO the split possibility is getting weaker and weaker. The Supreme court rejected the offer to take on the case and sent it to the appeals court just this week.

This is a common complaint I read about on the Linux newsgroups. FWIW, here at work we have tens of NT servers that don't have those problems. Some run SQL Server, some IIS, some other third party server software without a hitch.
