Well, heck, let's just port VFP to Java and have it run everywhere... *grin*
The more I hear about CLR and how it is going to run everywhere "if it takes off" makes me think of Java and the Java runtime. I mean, really, what is the difference? Why will CLR succeed (fast performance, lots of apps, true cross-plaformability, etc.) where Java has so far not really delivered? Yes, I know the CLR is an MS endeavor, and that clout alone can be helpful, but I just don't see how CLR is going to take off when Java hasn't been able to provide such an ambitious vision after being out for 4+ years...
