Hi Alan,

I rarely use them. In real-world usage, user rarely go to the next or previous record. For example, if I'm working with Baseline Data Services, what are the odds that I'm going to need to go to BASF next? And, if I did need to go to BASF, what are the odds that I would *know* that it was the next record?

I use a "Type Name of Select From List" type of Finder form. A textbox and a listbox. The listbox selected record is updated as the user types in the textbox. If Enter is pressed or the list double-clicked, the highlighted record is selected.

This gives the same functionality as a next, previous, et al with the additional functionality of find, all integrated. A really good example of this is the Outlook Address Book.
