That's because of the market that YOU are in. You have your MSCD, so your primary selling point of yourself is probably your expertise in MS App development. While linux is mostly used for web, email and DNS, its database capabilities are growing, and several companies already use linux db servers for website dbs.
Not that I think Delphi is a good place to start though... =(
Who originally wrote Fox? I wonder if you could get the source code to Fox for Unix from them and start developing on it.... hmmm.... =)
