Considering that VFP would have the world's largest and most dominant software company backing it, I don't think the Delphi weakness (it's maker) would really matter, eh?

I have been told by our company C++ programmer that while Delphi is very robust in the Windows environment, when Delphi code is exported to Linux, or any Unix based enviroment it is very unstable. Since I have never used Delphi myself, I can't speak from first hand experience.
