Yep. Most gratuitous and shameles, IMO. It is only 1 of the many things I ripped them on in the evaluation. There were only a few outstanding features of this conference -- the sessions, the vendor trade show was excellent, the tech release of VFP 7 on CD to all paying attendees and the jam sessions. As you know the hotel rooms were no better than a Motel 6 [actually I have had better rooms at a Motel 6]. The automatic 15% gratuity on all meals that were not included was ludicrous as well. All the continental breakfasts were pitiful.
I am about 80% sure this is my last Advisor DevCon. It will be Whil Fest in 2001. Too late for this year.
