I see what you mean.
But we must not forget that a company like Microsoft has a big strategic picture to look at and profit on a particular product is not essential.
If they don't have a middle tier product then they will end up being threatened by someone who does have a such a product. This product would then eat at their user base from each end.
One brings in per/user fees, the other does not. Which one are you going to support the most? So how do we, as VFP developers show MS that continuing with VFP development is profitable for MS? Show them that and they will continue to support VFP forever.
