>>You might think about a hardware solution such as the Hardware Keys made by companies such as Alladin, Software Security, etc. Pick up any C/C++ magazine and you'll see tons of ads for them. Plus less maintenance for you, 1 key = 1 operational copy of the software, if they want to install more sites, send them more keys, you don't have to be involved asking them to get you Bios numbers and HD numbers and the like...

In my country copy protection should be carried out by programmers. We can't just rely on law. So I have developed many protection schemes . Every protection can be penetrated and hardware locks are not harder to penetrate (sometimes easier than software locks). Only some of them take longer to penetrate. BIOS data could be found same on a series of computers and there is no unique unchangeable HD serial number. But for a try you can do a check to ports 70-71.
I could give you a series of protection schemes but since it's protection I can't do that on a public platform. If you can find a solution of transferring the data securely I 'll send you a few schemes.
I would send an email but couldn't see the original creator yet.
Please also inform me about your knowledge of assembly, hardware and lowlevel functions (other languages especially Prolog, C and Pascal).
