I am not that familiar with ASP, but I know you can create COMponents in VFP that ASP can use. There are some issues I believe, but aren't there always *g*. I do not think that speed is one of them, however, because you are using VFP to access VFP data: very fast.
However, if you are thinking of changing from Cold Fusion, run, do not walk, to
www.west-wind.com and buy Web Connection. I have no financial interest in the company, but I use the product, and it is outstanding. Just simply a killer application for web development with VFP.
