I have searched all over UT for a support area for the chat function, but can't seem to locate a proper place to post this message.

When I click on chat, then attempt to enter a chat area, all I receive is a large square on in my browser. Nothing ever appears - like a missing image. Surely there should be more here.

Should I really be using some IRC application instead?
