David,

I have no idea about how to suppress the right-click menu.

When the users modify the report, do they want to have a list of field names available the way they are when tables are in the environment, or do they just know the field names and type them in the way I do?

You could make some dummy data available when they MODIFY REPORT. Personally, I always like to have some data available so I can see if the report looks balanced or if all of the characters will fit (especially "W").

>On a few reports, it is helpful to allow my users to use the Modify Report option; the reasons are unimportant here. The question is: Can I suppress the right-click? The Print/Preview selections are giving errors because the fields in the report are 'generic' and expect a temporary data base to be in place.
>Thank you in advance for any help.
