Asking while many of us were at DevCon resulted in many of us not seeing this, at least not fast enough for you. I didn't sign on UT other than to pick up responses during all of DevCon, and I just got back tonight. Not being paid tech support, UT wasn't my first (or second, or seven hundreth) item of importance with DevCon, all the people who I only met on-line, or rarely see, a beach full of scantily-clad...well, we don't talk about that. And I did collect on (and pay off) a lot of the "If we ever meet, I owe you a drink" debts...
Plus the really memorable stuff...Jim at the Jam Sessions, or talking about geometry and subatomic physics from an alcohol-soluble perspective, Cindy describing some of the people she knew from work (Karen seems really interested in meeting that Duke Chapel guy) and a couple of late nights drinking, where I did manage to drag my sorry carcass to an 8AM session the next morning. And a two day long infomercial, which I
should've attended hung over...
It was a disappointing DevCon for me, compared to previous years, but still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, or even a decent day at home. The people were far more important than the technical content, as usual.
