I know of a question that some DevCon attendee could probably answer. Of course, it'll take a bit of work.

First, the question: "Are command buttons, etc. real windows controls (windows) or not?"

Second, how to answer (you have to have VS tools installed): Create a new form. Drop a VFP command button on it. Run the form. Go to the Visual Studio group, run Spy++ under Visual Studio Tools. You'll have to first find the VFP main window, then the form (it'll probably be the last direct branch beneath the main). If you don't see a plus sign (indicating child windows), they're not. If you do, they are.
