I think its an excellent idea - I've been wondering about it quite a bit over the last year. There is so much demand for web development on Linux servers that if MS does not come out with a Linux version soon (yeah, right), then I'll have to find some sort of Linux alternative.
It's a wonderful dream - FP on linux would be awesome.
