I've been thru one. '83, Alicia, pounded Houston pretty hard. A friend of mine and I were working at a concert that ended up getting cancelled; we spent most of the night helping tear things down with the storm raging outside. At 0400, with everything packed up, we decided to drive home. Probably the only time I've ever seen the freeways totally empty. Stupid, but we survived. Yeah, it was an adventure, but not one I care to repeat...
